☄ First Impressions ♚ VISUAL: Tiny and scrappy, Pidge is a kid who is easily underestimated and misunderstood at first glance because of her baggy, awkward clothes, unruly hair and generally immature appearance. Few would easily guess that she's a technological genius with hand-to-hand combat skills who would be more than willing to take on enemies twice her size. She often has some sort of scuffs on her arms and legs due to this. ♚ FASHION: Geek chic + comfortable, with tomboyish leanings. She doesn't care about your comfort, only her own. ♚ DEMEANOUR: Pidge's general demeanor is akin to that of a livewire-- constantly full of energy, with many emotions rolling under the surface that allows her to switch between her awkward charm and sparking irritability in the blink of an eye. ♚ AURAL: Still a 14 year old with a developing body, Pidge's voice is still in an awkward phase of development. For the moment she tends to default to an alto-tone that hits the midway point between that of a young woman or a young man, although it pitches higher when she's startled or angry. For the most part she tends to veer into the lower tones of her range-- particularly when she's rambling-- and it will be a tough bet to get her to sing. ♚ OLFACTORY: Pidge bathes regularly, although that's a side effect of leading a lifestyle that can and will get her sweaty and covered in dirt at any given point in time. It really depends on the time of day that she's caught in. She doesn't use fragrances or fancy soaps or shampoos. ♚ MENTAL INFORMATION: Pidge is a technical genius who likely has some manner of eidetic memory that anchors her ability to swiftly analyze new data and understand the basics of utterly foreign languages and technology with astonishing speed. She definitly has an above average intellect. ♚ MAGICAL INFORMATION: Nothing of importance, unless an odd empathic connection to a 10,000 year old green robotic space lion counts as anything. ☄ OOC ♚ BACKTAGGING: Yes, always. ♚ FOURTHWALLING: No. Voltron itself has had far too many incarnations, and Pidge is liable to be extremely unhappy if people know anything about her that she doesn't divulge. ♚ PHYSICAL AFFECTION: Yes, as long as it's platonic. She's 14, people. ♚ PHYSICAL VIOLENCE: Sure. She is more than willing and capable of defending herself if there's a problem. ♚ RELATIONSHIPS: I'm more interested in platonic, pseudo-familial relationships with her due to her age. If anyone wants to end up in the position of an 'older sibling figure' for her or something, I'm totally down. ☄ Permissions ♚ This is less of a permission and more of a warning: Pidge is walking spoilers for a very minor plot point that comes up midway through season one, and it's impossible to avoid without getting into odd narrative twists I don't really like. If you're one of the few who *hasn't* been spoiled although I'm sure you are now due to reading this, please let me know if you want me to completely avoid tagging with you. ♚ For those who have seen the show or just don't care about spoilers, I want to explain that I use feminine pronouns for Pidge simply because she calls herself a girl. I do not play her with any of the nonbinary/trans headcanons that are popular on Tumblr simply because 1) there is no canonical evidence for it, and 2) I'm not in those communities, and I'm not comfortable playing her like that.
